Not as good as we had it 5 or 6 years ago, but saw more birds this year than in the previous few years. A few key fields made for the bulk of our bag. Should really have limited out by 3 in the afternoon, but some less than great shooting stopped that hope. Reading some of the pheasant forums around, looks like we did better than most by quite a ways. 4 shooters, 14 pheasants, 4 quail.

Didn't get the action shots like I try for this year, but got some post-shot pictures.

Was thinking of heading up sometime this season.

We only hunted Walk In areas. Lots of hunters out. Talked to one guy at lunch that said "I think I saw a bird, but it jumped wild and couldn't decide what it was".

Good job. Looks like the weather didn't do you any favors.

A pal was building fence all weekend in western Kansas and he saw NO hunters and just one cock.
