Apparently the deserts of SE KIalifornia had a pretty wet winter. I am wondering if this will mean really good quail hunting this fall. E

Well I'm sure the rain won't hurt, but if I'm recalling right, the quail areas of western AZ benefit more from spring rains to keep the grass etc growing past the hatching season so the peeps have green stuff to feed on. SE Cali is really similar and probably reacts the same. Have they had some rain this spring down there or is the storm track up north now. We're sure getting our share now.

The quail up here (E WA) are just starting to pair up, so egg laying will occur soon. The pheasants too. Now to hope that we don't get bad storms that ruin the nesting season.
