anybody here have experience with MVA scopes and mounts. My 16 pound 32 inch Shiloh should be done in a few months, and I would like to scope it.

it being drilled and tapped on a 17 inch spacing for a 5000 series scope.( I hope that's the right choice) my question is about mounts and how far I can reach with a silhouette or creedmoor mount. Id like to shoot to 1000 yards. would I need rear riser blocks with either? (caliber is 45-110)

That is the correct spacing (17")

Creedmoor mounts would be the best.

Creedmoor mounts will work for silhouette.

23" (10-5/16") scope reaches 1000yd with a 45 cal.

I doubt you can get there with a 17" spacing without a riser.
