Anyone have any experience with the late model pathfinders?
Time for the wife to get a new ride. She's been driving a tahoe for about 5 yrs now, lots of miles on it, happy with it. But she decided to downsize a bit for gas and car price reasons. She wants the V6 motor, 2wd.
I'm just worried that it won't get much better gas mileage than her tahoe which used to average around 17.5 mpg hwy/city both but gets around 16.5 to 17 now. Sticker on the pathfinder says 17/city, 23/hwy but we know how those can lie!!
The price is right though, dealers around here are moving the 07's to make room for 08's. Around $22,000 for an SE model,brand new 07'. Sticker about $28,000.
I know there are some more suv's that get better mpg ....rav4, the small chevy(can't remeber the name),etc. But they are a little too small for our needs.

i'd shy away from nissan. They are known for their valve train rattling. 07 nissan altima already has engine recalls out on it.

Brother's girlfriend has a Murano - that rig is pretty sweet.

I have no problem with Nissan - know of several guys with Titans and they like them.

Got a friend who had a Ford Excape - she LOVED it to death - I liked it too. He idiot boyfriend talked her into trading it in on a Hyundai Tiburon. She is thinking of leaving him over it.
