I am trying to remember where I saw a thread where one gentleman hauled his King Quad in a short bed with car ramps so he could close the gate. Pretty sure it was here at the fire.

I bought an '11 Chevy CC short bed and have a Suzuki King Quad. I cannot close the gate. The trip to camp is around 4 hrs and if possible id like to close the gate...before I go buying car ramps does anyone know if that works? Does anyone know if the thread was here at the fire? Thanks.

Myself, need to find some iron and I'm going to get a hitch extender and than weld up a brace/support for the rear wheels of my quad.

Have you tried backing your quad in? I have a Ford Super Duty shortbox and a 750 King Quad. I can only close the tailgate if I back the ATV in.
