Any advise on putting a front receiver on a F150?

The idea is to steer a boat trailer to a steep launch, and let the boat into the lake trailer, and boat.
Many of the cowcatcher style front bumpers have options for mounting a receiver.

Had one on a motor home years ago for the same reason. Ours was made and installed by Crystal welding. If you're passing through the Twin Cities, they can fabricate and install anything you need.

They work very well. They're readily available and made for your truck. They're made to bolt on. Just google 'ford f150 front hitch'.
I have one on our F150, it's an 09 I believe. I wanted ours for a winch, I purchased the front receiver mount, a new winch, a receiver mount plate for the winch, a receiver stub tube and some cable connection stuff.

I wanted to be able to move the winch from the front of the truck to my car trailer. Most of the time the winch is on my car trailer but every now and then I toss it on the truck.

The truck isn't home right now so I can't take a picture of the mount, but I think it was a reese or curt brand... curt I think? Easy install.
Quite often a winch on the front pulls you deeper into the muck. Being able to switch it to the rear can make it a lot easier to pull you BACK out of it.
The receive mount is handy that way.
My buddy had one on the front of his truck. I think we ran our shins into one too many times one trip. Next time I saw him he had traded trucks and got a winch that blended into the bumper rather than sticking out 2 feet to the front. That is a down side.
WTF is he gonna stand on to check the oil now?
A good welder could make a 10' pole to fit in a front receiver. Use it for jousting.

I have one on my GMC. I had to cut a square out of the air dam but it bolted right up. I use a Warn winch on the front or back of the truck. Works very well.
Plus, the 99% of the time when you have no use for a winch, it can be securely stored in the garage out of the way.
I to have a winch mount front and back. When you need them they are fantastic.
Check Etrailer.com. They have the best prices.I fnot, J.C. Whitney

Thanks helps men, I bought a bolt on made by Reece.

The biggest bugger was the longer slid in tube.
I needed space for the winch, so a longer square tube with the bent iron for the ball set me back about $50.
