It is a popular area. You won’t be alone and anyone with a general tag can also take a cow there for most all of the same time period. All except the last 10 days of your type 6 season, IIRC.

The guy I'm going with killed a 5x5 there with a bow last year, so he's pretty familiar with it. We're deciding on what days now, he's also planning on hunting CO archery again this year, and I'd like o be back in time for a SD pheasant hunt.

We put in for cows due to the odds and to save our points for "the guided elk" hunt of the lifetime in the next couple years.

Any idea how many points it took to draw a general bull tag? I will have 5 points going into the 2025 draw and I’m not sure that is enough! Thanks!

wytex. I don't understand how this works, I thought they were allocating by the new ZONES? Shouldn't the odds be based on each zone??? This whole chage is by addeing zones is carp anyway

I drew Elk 24-1

No tag for me. Drew into 19 with 9 points, drawing odds put that as a 100 percent tag but that didn't happen.....

Only the General licenses went to Regions, the LQ licenses stayed the same with adjusted quotas.

Scroll down the page to find the region draw odds, all the others are LQ elk tags.
5 PPs was almost a given in all 3 regions, only the South region was slightly more than 5 PP to draw.
