Hey all,
I was looking for some advice on hunting in 305 for bull elk. I drew a tag for this zone and I have never hunted for elk in California. I was hoping someone here might be able to provide some assistance. I hunted the Devils Garden area last year for deer so I am familiar with the area. Any help or recommendations you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help with advice as I put in for Calif. elk for many years when I lived there but never got lucky.

Congratulations, however, on the draw for a bull elk! That ticket is very hard to draw. Hope you kill a nice one.

My hope is there is still hunting in CA by the time I draw

I will have 13 points for next year (max is 15) I love hunting alone but if I ever get a tag I will pay for a guide. At 63 the best I can hope for is one CA ELK tag in this life time.
