I've never put so much work into getting a bull but it was all worth it. I was able to take my biggest Wyoming bull to date on opening morning. Shot was about 200yrds with a 338 rum shooting 250 Bergers at 3100fps which performed flawlessly with a caliber size entrance and a 1.5" exit with massive damage done internally.
He was hiding out at about 11000' 2 canyons and 5 miles from camp. Luckily had some friends help with the pack out.
He's a solid 6x6 gross score of 349" net score of 342 6/8"

And my favorite. The end of the rainbow, the last trip of a hell hole of a pack out. Bitter sweet. If you look close there is a double rainbow and it's not very often you get to be the same level as the rainbow

It is a limited quota uint. This is the 3rd time I have drawn the tag in 7 years. It's an all diy hunt for me. Non residents will need around 9-10 points to draw

That's a darn nice elk! I'm guessing he's wishing he would've stayed a long ways away from that Diablo 338 RUM, especially with Ryan behind the trigger!
