Just read on another hunting forum, about a road closure on Rt 133 North of Paonia Reservior, Colo. I know this is a popular area for deer and elk hunters. You may have to endure detours to reach hunting destinations. HH

Here is another report, looks like it is North of Kebler pass CR 12 turn off, above (north of ) Paonia reservoir, but south side of McClure Pass.

Hopefull it was cleared this week end Oct 22 23, looks like it happened on Wed Oct 19th, maybe 20th. HH
Yeah, that's a rock slide.
I have a 4x4. I can get over it.
Been down that road many a times going Elk Hunting near Paonia. Great elk country but lots of hippies per square mile though.
Best info I could find... CDOT said Thursday 10/27 might be the opening date for the closure. Some of the boulders were the size of a semi truck they said.

There is a short video and a google map to show the location of the rockslide in the above links. HH

OK...back to elk hunting !!!

Luckily we were already in position when this rock slide took place. It was removed a few days prior to departure.
