I been wondering the same thing about these scopes

They certainly arent a cheap scope, the 1-10X is $1600.00

I have two different March scopes for my hunting rifles.
They are 1-10 X 24 and 2.5-25 x 42 I brought them about a year ago I like their clarity, low weight and toughness.
Last week at the range the guy beside me had Nightforce 25 power scope he had just brought. He was sighting the Nightforce in on comparing how the scopes were performing on the day he told me. "He had not heard about March scopes" and after looking through both scopes I heard him say. "I brought the wrong scope"

hope this helps

Oh, I wont be buying a March scope, $1600 for your 1-10, OUCH!! Was just curious to see what folks thought of the quality and such.

Getting to be more & more of them on the IBS benches.
Will yours do this? This is at 1000 yds with the photo done with a hand held cell phone.

This is a March scope.

Just asking as I don't know but aren't there serious optical compromises with that huge magnification range?

I've been under the impression that there were daunting technical challenges to get that range without optical concerns.

What does March do differently than others who've been in the scope biz for a very long time?
Good Question that I can't answer. Who else has a 10 times power boost? 1-10X, 2.5-25X, 8-80X and so on. If it were easy Schmidt and Bender and others would be doing it.

Thanks for the response Butch.

There must be some very fine optical engineers at March because you're right, if it were easy there would be others doing it.

Heck the latest 6X mag scopes just recently came out and I understand Burris has discontinued their SixX series of scopes already.

Thats because Burris is concentrating on making more Steiner scopes.

Is that right? I did not know that.
Thanks for the info.

Yup, talked to one of the Tech guys, Josh or maybe it was the other guy. Berettas orders, btw.
I have an 8 X 80 March. and a 6-24 X 50 Swaro at the same power the March is better but like it has been said the March costs more. I am not a comp. shooter so I have nothing else to compare it to. I took the March scope to my favorite gun shop and compared it to a Nightforce that cost the same amount but was still only 24 power and all of the salesman said that the March was a better scope for there eyes.
I took it to the range to sight it in and had it mounted into a rifle stand at 80 power I lost the target at 100 yards it was very frustrating until i realized that at 100 yards and at 80 power I was looking at the grain structure on the paper target. If I can afford an other scope it will be an other march. In my opinion for the most part you get what you pay for.

So I guess you turned the power down a bit then? haha

Yep I am a little slow some times but I do love that scope and so does every one that shoots my M21 my last 3 shots on that day at 100 yards well you could cover them up with a nickle and I am not that good of a shooter it was all the equipment.

Butch, do you know which reticle is in this March? 1/16, 3/32 dot?

Nsaqam: being a citzen of that country, I apreciate the tribute of this pilot on your avatar. It was indeed a great loss.
