I would like to build a 1000 yard rifle with low recoil and have narrowed it down to two cartridges. 6mm Dasher or 6.5 Creedmoor which one would you all choose?.
Socratic method:

Which chosen projectile would have the highest ballistic coefficient?

Dasher

I have 260 Rem heavy target rifle and at present building a 6mm Dasher. The Dasher takes more effort and tools to load as compared to the 260 and Creedmore but burns ~25% less powder for about the same results along with less recoil. A few people I shoot with (1000yd) use the 6mmBR to great effect so don't over look that one if your not into dealing with a wildcat.

Are you going to be using it for competition? If so what flavor?

Dasher....however if youre open to input....consider the 6x47 Lapua. No fireforming and great performance.

look at the Tubb round. Proven performance. You going to be shooting from your elbows and belly or a bench?
I chose the 6.5 Creed because sometimes I shoot matches that require factory ammo. Also, if you travel long distances to matches and your ammo doesn't show up with your rifle (happened to me before) you can buy 6.5 Creed at larger sporting goods stores.

Lotta choices not mentioned....6XC...6.5x55...260....6BR (Dasher)

None of your choices...I look for quality dies....Lapua brass...

Long barrel life.......

I'd like to hear more about your rifle. Barrel twist, freebore, neck diameter...?
