Is there a generally recognized "go to" reloading recipe for this bullet in a 1911? I am wondering if there is such a recipe that time has shown that it tends to perform well in most guns. Looking for a good starting point. Thanks.

8.6 grs of AA#5 works very well. Around 800 fps. Various standard primers.

WW231 (HP38),AA#2 and Titegroup works.
Thx for the tip. I do have hp38 and aa2 to work with, so will trial them at ~800fps.
Charles Petty wrote an article for the 2016 Hodgdon Annual Manual that included that bullet. He had really good results with 4.5 grains of Titegroup.
the bullet is widely used in ?Bullseye matches at 50 yds.

4.5 of VV310 or 4.5 of BE will work VERY well
