I paid $11.99 for Blazer Brass and Fiocchi this weekend at Bridgeport Supply in Beckley. Thank God WV eliminated the tax on ammo. I needed a little extra for a break-in soon.
ETA: this is the best price I’ve seen in 4 years.
That is pretty dang good Markw
I understand spend a bit more get brass
In my world steel has a place
I have a 650 Dillion set up for 9mm only so I do shoot brass and load. I hate picking up spent brass, part of the reason I LOVE revolvers
But I like to shoot steel case and some places I can leave it lay others I have a magnet on a string and get all the cases easily
But before 2020 I was buying Wolf even cheaper that the link listed buy a few cents
A couple weeks ago Battle Hawk had free freight on ammo would make that a really great deal
Hank
Natchez has Blazer aluminum for 230 a case.
I'll take it over steel import. And have had decent results with a case or 3.
I have 500 new Starline cases, plus a good bit of my fired stuff. The aluminum cases get swept into the gravel, and I avoid a dirty job.
Yeah, as a reloader for decades I felt kind of guilty buying factory ammo, especially that I have components aplenty. But pre Brandon I getting the stuff so cheap I couldn't pass it up. And yes, it mingles with gravel nicely & I'm not getting dizzy bending over to pick up brass.
I don't think we'll see 16 cents a pop again, but I'll jump on it for 18 or 19 for sure.
I load a lot of 9mm.....
1X'd brass.......4 cents
Good plated 115 gr bullet......10 cents (shop around & save maybe)
Primer from the good ole days......3 cents
4.7 grains of Titegroup......2 cents
19 cents each......subtract 4 cents after you use the brass the next time
Since I lost a bunch of weight, bending over is much easier. Go figure! Still, there’s so much laying on the ground that sorting out what I want is pretty time-consuming and I’d rather just shoot or pretty much anything else.
Think I paid $.27 or $.28 last time, including shipping. I can live with that.
I buy my 1X brass here
ask for Adam...........tell 'em tikka sent ya
Remember you'll lose 1/4 of it in the dirt........
