Hello All. Gathering up stuff for my Winter project, AR 7.62x39 build. I'll cheat and buy a Complete Upper and go from there. My question for you AR 7.62x39 guys is, what buffer weight and spring combo are you using? Build will be 16"bbl/M4 carbine, shooting Russian/crap steel case ammo. Any info is appreciated.

Hope you have a bunch of russian crap ammo bought up and stored already, otherwise, it's gonna be fun going to walmart trying to buy it now.

I've always used standard buffer weights with 7.62x39, however, I do like an extra power hammer spring. There are some extractors that are also better than others too.

😂I don't shop at WalMart😂😂😂
I use an H3 buffer with a standard milspec spring.

Uppers are a PSA 10.5" carbine-gas, PSA 16" carbine-gas, and a 20" with mid-gas.

It works with the standard buffer, but the H3 buffer really smooths out the ride.
….OR, I used an Odin adj gas block on my latest 10.5” SBR, and tuned that to just barely function with
Subs, where it’s still running just under 1/2 gas. Very mild with supers and subs, suppressed and only about 1/2 gas. Buffer isn’t doing too much work.
