I heard Ruger is getting into the AR business?
Posted By: ThomB Re: Ruger - 06/08/09
Yep, go to their website, glad to have them:)
Posted By: rost495 Re: Ruger - 06/09/09
but its a ruger....some aren't glad.

Anytime we can add a "name" manufacturer, like it or not to the AR Family, I think it is a good thing. But I can understand other feelings, I am still ticked at Bill R for his supporting the maq ban.....
Posted By: rost495 Re: Ruger - 06/09/09
I agree on both sides, won't ever support R again though... and won't let it go either... its a button with me for some reason.

And whatever it took to keep the mini14 ok, but damn the ARs and now they are ARs...

Of cousre I have no use now and never will for Dumbo either.

Of course, Bill is dead, Jr is out of the business, and the guys at Ruger are making all the stuff we asked for and Bill turned down.

What's the point of not buyng Ruger these days? To punish the guys who bought it from the family for listening to us?

aw come on David, no one ever said likes and dislikes have to be based on logic. smile

Each of us formulates our list of stuff we won't abide, for our own reasons. They don't have to make sense to everyone else.

agreed.

my wife is still mad that I will not let any Jane Fonda anything in my house, even on TV. ever.

Never to forgive, never to forget.

Laffin'. You guys crack me up. You all make good points....
Posted By: rost495 Re: Ruger - 06/10/09
Just me.... There are a few other things I just won't let go either.

But I"m totally with you, if Fonda became a gun loving conservative today, no way....

Then there is my total disgust with the 270 Win..... Can't quite answer why but its not for me and never will have one..

You are right though, I could be more sane by applying current issues rather than water under the bridge... Of course OTOH once you've cheated on me.....

Jeff, it would be a hoot to sit down with you over a bucket of Lone Star, or whatever you guys drink out there. smile

With you on the Fonda thing. Even went so far as to send a cookbook by her that someone gave us as a wedding present back to the publisher telling them where they could put that traitorous hide!

RE: 270 Win had one for a week that I bought to resell. Never shot one, never want to ....

Manlicher
I could drag my airboat to FL, always wanted to run that type of country once in my life....
Lone Star... are you nuts, thats horse piss in a bottle. Shiner is more like it... hahaha everyone has their preference.
I'd share a campfire and beer any day.

Elk
I dunno on the 270 but never liked it.... A+ on the Fonda book! You should have sent it to the traiterous bitch herself.

Jeff

Okay, now that's just going to damn far...I can't abide someone who can't abide the .270... grin

But I'm with you on the Shiner
Posted By: rost495 Re: Ruger - 06/15/09
Now .277... thats another story... just so long as the case doesnt' say 270 Win on the back end....

So what kind of Shiner... my current favorite is Bohemian Black Lager...
