Picked up a M&P 15 OR yesterday and was scratching my head on what optics to put on it, most likely a scope of some type. But in the mean time my son really wanted to get out and shoot it so I went to our local Bass Pro to look at some options. I messed around with a few red dot sights like the Vortex Strike Fire and the Bushnell and then saw the Redfield CounterStrike was on sale. Ended up liking it better than the others so I bought it. My son and I headed to the range today to shoot the first shells through the new AR and I have never shot a red dot sight at anything past like 25 yards before. This sight is a 4moa dot in either red or green and the sight also comes with a red dot laser. I was a bit skeptical of how well I would like it but figured that in the meantime it would allow us to get out and shoot it. To say I was surprised is an understatement, below is the target I shot and the target my son shot both at 50 yards, this little optic surprised the chit out of me.
