I decided to get an AR for hunting and self defense. I decided the 6.8 SPC was the best for me. 6.8 seems to be gaining support with Hornady and now Federal producing ammo for it.

My buddy built the lower from a stripped Doublestar he had in his safe. The upper is Precision Reflex. Scope is Weaver tactical 1x5.







Two groups at 50 yards. Fusions on the left and 120 Hornady SST on the right. It was too windy last weekend to even attempt 100 yards. Looks like the rifle will be more accurate that me.

Its almost never too windy to shoot at 100 yards. And I know how windy it was here in TX last weekend.

It's a PRI carbon fiber free float Delta rail. I like it. I wanted something a little different and this one seemed modern retro with it's triangular geometry.
