Any of you guys ever use the Ultimak top rail to mount a dot sight on an AK?
I want to put an Aimpoint on my old Bulgarian SA93.

There are better ways, the RS mount is stable and actually holds zero.

My SA93 is a milled receiver rifle, with no side rail provision. The RS mount is not a better way, and for me, it won't work.

Good luck with that.
Midwest industries makes a model specific forward mount for AK's. A friend has one for an Aimpoint H1. Same rifle has a left-handed bolt/cover and a Krebs safety. The trigger on it feels like a DA Clark S&W trigger. I dunno who built it but its the baddest AK I've ever seen.

Sam, I used an Ultimak to mount an Aimpoint on my Arsenal SA M-5 and it works fine. My Arsenal has a milled receiver also.

Thanks Rick. I use an Ultimak on one of my .30 Carbines, to mount an Aimpoint, and it works well for that use.

I thought it was the dust cover mount. My mistake.
