Cabelas has these for sale really cheap ($140 for the 3-9 version) so myself and a couple guys ordered the 4.5-14 versions for paper punching with ARs. With a coupon I found online it came to $140 shipped which seems like a good deal for a 4.5-14 with AO from a well known maker with good warranty.

Has anyone used them and have an opinion?
I am sure it will last for a while, I am sure its like any other variable scope in that it will last for a while. The good news is that for $140 when it breaks you can just toss it. What will be bad is if its junk out of the box and you think your rifle or your barrel is bad.
Well it arrived today and here are my initial thoughts. It appears to be a well built scope. Clicks are decent with a tactile feel to them, but not overly inspiring. The glass appears to be clear and crisp to the edge. I like the reticle with the ballistic Plex. The object active and power ring are smooth but a little stiff which is OK for my use.

If I have one complaint it would be that the eyebox seems really critical however I have not mounted it yet so this is based on just holding it up to my eye. I'll have to mount it and test it out after the holidays to gather a fair opinion of it.

For the price I paid I likely got my money worth. If I were to have a budget of $200+ I would likely look at other options
