As the post indicates I have an AR 15 300 blackout and I need to mount a VX3 1.5x-5x 20mm with a 45° microdot site for CQB. Does anyone have any recommendations on a budget minded solution?

Look at the one piece mounts from Warne. They are setup for exactly what you are trying to do.
