If I put a scope on an ar 15 that has a tall front sight will I be able to see out of the scope?
I would be mounting the scope to the top of the receiver because the upper doesn't have a carry handle on it.
You will see it on low powers (1-4x) but not enough to get in the way. Once you go beyond 4x or 6x it pretty much disappears.
Generally about 3x, it disappears.
On the lower powers, as long as you have a tall enough mount, you will get used to it and be able to sight over it.
It isn't really an issue. As stated above, over about 4x I just don't see it.
It still should be high enough to give you a sight line close to the irons for the cheek weld thing on a straightline stock.
Use medium or high rings and that should solve the problem
