I really hate the "twang" sound I get on my AR, I see there are several Enhanced springs that say they do away with the twang sound.
Anyone use them and do they really work? Any reason not to use one?
I have a JP flatwire and Tubbs flatwire that works good to quit down the twang
Lube the spring and the inside of the extension tube, no more twang.
I get no twang once the spring and tube gets a coat of oil.
I oiled mine with no joy, pucker sill twanged. I ordered an enhanced spring for 5 bucks, I'll let you know what happens.
$5.00?
Please note where your brass lands when you change it out.

Yes, 5 bucks. They were on sale
grease not oil
The twang is a good thing really... if you are hearing it you are NOT concentrating on the shot process like you should be.
Every time I heard it my groups were not good... so we left em as is and learned to shoot the shots and in the process never heard the twang.
FWIW.
I run Enhanced recoil springs in all my ARs...Enhanced with a Handfull of molly grease...Dead silent...
Just a warning, I've fixed more than a few guns by simply removing cheap parts and even good parts that didn't fit the system. Just watch the ejection pattern and make sure it's around 4:00
I switched to Enhanced CS springs years ago.....from the issue spring.
Since I have switched to the Tubbs flat wire spring and it is even better.............highly suggest the Tubbs Flat Wire buffer Spring
