Helping a buddy pick up parts to build an AR. He's sticking with a right eject upper. Wants to build the lower with ambidextrous parts. Any ideas on what works well or what doesn't?

Thanks
Mac

I use BAD ambi safety levers on all of my guns. And I'd just go with the ambi version of the BCM charging handle if I needed that ambi too.

Thanks will look those up.

I try to practice shooting left handed with my rifles as much as I can, because I'm not very good at it. Maybe not the same as being left handed, but I still prefer standard controls on my ARs for the most part, so that I can pick up any AR and run it left handed.

I do like the BAD style bolt release levers though.

The ambi safety levers bug me, because I feel them under my trigger finger when shooting right handed, but I guess a lefty would have that problem with a standard safety all the time anyway.

Try the BAD short lever on the off side, it'll probably stay out of the way better.
