If you have some experience with the DDm4 V11, let's hear what you think about it.
Thanks, RS
not much help here, but a friend has one, with a 14.5" barrel.
obviously a nice rifle, though i haven't shot it
yes,
100% reliable,
trigger sucks = replaced G2S
Long forearm makes balance good for offhand shooting.
not particularly accurate out of the box but after 1000 rounds of PMC 55's through the barrel its about a 1.5 MOA gun for 5 shots anyway.
Mid length gas, consistent ejection, relatively smooth especially with a large flashlight out on the rail.
WOG sling, SWFA 1-4 in LT-104, Mag pul steel sights, GTS, and your GTG.
It is equal to a Colt but with upgrades that you pay for.
When I get rich I want to try that new Steiner 1-4 Blue likes.
Overall a good reliable firearm that will shoot well offhand and give you thousands of rounds of service before you have to replace anything.
I'd look at another DD rifle before that one. The V11 has a KeyMod rail. Look at one that has M-Lok instead.
I have a V5 in .300 Blackout and a Mk12 in 5.56. The V11 as noted above has a different rail, but the functioning parts will be the same. The .300 is probably a 1.5MOA gun, but I have not yet tried a huge variety of loads in it. The Mk12 is probably closer to 1 MOA.
They are 100% reliable, and will have durability as good as any AR. They probably won't be tack drivers. I like their standard rails, but not their proprietary buttstocks. If that's really valuable to you, then I'd look at a Noveske, or even just build one from quality components.

Why? Is there something inherently better about M-Lok?

I wondered this too and from what I've seen, M-Lok works better with plastic and Key Mod works better with Aluminum. Some speculate that since MagPul went M-Lok and plastic is cheaper, it will rule the world but I see both options being supported until the next big thing comes along and probably even after that.
Having both, I still use just the upper Picatinny rail anyways. I did use a sling attachment on the Keymod and it locks up solid as does the M-Lok.
I don't trust those plastic rails for sling swivels nor a heavier varmint light.

It's a stronger, more durable attachment method. I've seen too many stories about Keymod accessories getting pulled off, damaging the attachment points in the process.
Key word there is "stories".
I've seen a few reports on the net and when pressed, they were installed backwards yet even then BCM made the rails good.
There is nothing wrong with KeyMod when attached right.
Keymod works fine until you try and load a bipod with a BCM polymer rail section.
I've got multiple rails of each system, I have no preference. Both are good systems when installed right.
How do you install M-Lok backwards?

They don't use Keymod in plastic because it's not strong enough.
I'll type this real slow....
KeyMod can be installed backwards and that leads to the problems reported. Installed right and there is no problem.
My point is M-Lok can't be installed wrong, or at least not as easily.
It is a good gun and worth the coin
