For ya'll that have experience with them, any reason not to go with a 15" Solo or Solo Lite on my 20" .308?

My only hang-up right now is the 7075 barrel nut. But that all just be in my head. Realistically, the rest of the gun is made of the same stuff, so why should the nut be an issue? Right??

Thanks,

David
No one??

I'm pretty much down to the SLR Solo 14 or 15" on a 20" rifle length barrel. Gotta make sure the SLR gas block is pretected.

My other choice is Midwest, but I'm a little concerned about the Gen 2 mounting system.

I put a MW Gen 3 on another gun and like the mounting, but the G2, to me, lacks enough lock-up to the barrel nut.

Thoughts?
Slr is quality gear and you will be happy with it, I have the 15" on my wifes AR. I have a Centurion Arms on mine, very similar and I like it as well.
I picked up a couple recently but haven't had the chance to do much shooting, etc., with the rifles that they are on. I really like them (9.7" on a 10.5" 300BO barreled SBR and a 13" on a 16" 5.56)!
SLR makes good stuff. I have one of their rails on my .308 and its been great. Very rigid and well finished.
Thanks fellows. I'm pretty well set on the SLR Solo, but that's the reassurance I was looking for. Ordered my barrel Saturday. Hoping Aero has their lowers available sometime this week.

Now I'm just hoping SLR runs a Labor Day sale. 15% off would come in handy for a Solo and a Sentry 7.
They do tend to run sales frequently I've noticed.
Yep. Already seen some flyers. Not from SLR yet though. Fingers crossed.
