I have a heavy barreled 260 by DPMS.
Friend is interested in it and wants to know what I want for it.

It's a hard one, and regional sales may be much different.
In VA IMHO, at a show, it would sit on the table priced at $1000 if it's straight flat black. It would probably move quick at $850, if the right buyer came along.
To me, the caliber would be a plus, and the hunters would be looking at it. However, with the heavy barrel, not many would want to carry it. OK on the East Coast, where stands are popular, less so in the West where travel with the rifle is required.
How long is the barrel? How much has it been shot? How much stuff goes with it? How does it function and shoot?
