Picked up a pre Pro Hunter Encore with a Pro Hunter 308 Marlin Express barrel. I think both are weathershield but how do I tell? Is there a way to find the frame build date? The scope, DNZ mount, and ammo are worth half what I paid for everything so I think I did well. Anyone else shooting one of these?

I don’t but it should shoot well, it being a rimmed case.

I have no experience with the cartridge, but it should be a good one for hunting deer etc., assuming you can find cases, dies, and load data.
