Just noticed a Ruger No 1-H Tropical on the Gunnruner auction site in Burton Ohio.

Currently @ $720.00 with a couple days left on the Auction.

I've dealt with them in the past with no issues.

I have no horse in this race just passing the info. along.

Good Luck,

She has been rode a bit hard, but just shows how useful she was for any game:

DESCRIPTION
Ruger No. 1-H Tropical, .458 Win. magnum cal. falling block rifle. Serial #132-08095. Good condition. 24" heavy barrel has an excellent bore, fixed front and flip-up adjustable rear factory sights. Fitted with a Bushnell Scope Chief VI 3-9x40 scope with a duplex reticle and clear optics. 95% blue finish on the barrel with light muzzle wear. The right side of the receiver has excellent finish, the left side has heavy finish wear with some peppering. Checkered wood forearm and stock are in good shape with wear to the left side and has some scattered scratches and hits. Has a Ruger pistol grip cap and Ruger marked red rubber butt pad. Comes with a leather sling. Perfect for dangerous game on the Dark Continent or big brownies! You can load up it up or down and eat right to the holes!

By serial number she is of early 1981 production.
My first one was acquired in 1984, my first "big bore."
My last one was of 1980 production by SN, acquired in 2018, finally righting a wrong.
Daisy was like new for about $800, a great find.
Riflecrank,
Thanks for posting for the members. It's still at $720.00 with 1 1/2 days remaining.

ITS NOW OVER $1,000.00
LGS. has a #1 in 416 Rigby. It has a brake and no front sight. I didn’t look real close but it appeared in excellent condition. Believe they’re asking $1099, but I suspect it would sell at $50-75 less.
I have zero interest in the GS or the rifle. If any interest, pm me and I’ll give the contact info.
Finished up at $1010.00

dale,
I think by viewing both of these rifle it gives us a greater immediate way to compare current prices/values of the Ruger #1 in these Big Bore calibers that many of us like.

Great reference.

those 458 Win mag. Ruger #1`s are rare and will get even more rare as time goes on , Ruger now days likes to make and sell cheap black guns , nice looking single shot rifles are expensive to build and most consumers don`t want a expensive great looking single shot rifle anymore . that price was a very good price on that 458 Win.mag. that rifle should have went for $1500.00 + in 5 - 10 years that rifle will sell for $2000.00 + Ruger don`t make these fine single shots anymore .
