I'm going to hang on to mine but I saw one recently at Woods and Water in Tuscaloosa Alabama. They are a big independant retailer that can ship to you. Ask for Paul Yeager.

I just got mine this year and I'm keeping it for awhile.
You want see many No.1's in a .270 Wby's. So, do like Ruraldoc said and call Woods and Water in Tuscaloosa Alabama.
I called but Paul wasn't in. The fellow I did speak too said there wasn't one on the shelf but did say he thought there was. Must've sold, I guess.

It breaks my heart reading this post. I searched for a #1B in 270 WBY for over 6 months back in 1994. I found one only to have it sold by my Ex-Mother in Law while I was stationed in Turkey.
I don't suppose Lipseys has any of these left? A fellow said he bought one just last year or less.

I tried Lipseys and High Mountain awhile back for a pal of mine who wants one badly too. No dice. Even tried some of the bigger guns shops like Ace's in PA. Same story. That was a real 'steal that got away'.
Glad I'm not in nthe bmarket for that one.

Mark, They did have one, IIRC it's gone. There is a new one on GB with nice wood. $690. One of our 24hr members might have found an older one and is checking.

Glad you found it! It never ceases to amaze me that some of the No. 1's in calibers without high production numbers are so hard to find when you are looking for and wanting one.
I am reluctant to offer it, but eBay always has No. 1 rings up for auction and some of them go quite low!
