I know this may be like comparing apples to oranges but in general, are the TC Encore/KP-1 or Ruger #1's considered to be more accurate than the other. I realize we are talking about two different action designs.

I have not had any personnal issue's with the Encore or the Ruger #1...I have not shot any Knight rifles. I use the same "bedding" tricks on my Encores as I use on My Ruger #1...screw tension and some forend tip pressure.

The T/C barrels do get critizied for bad chambers and 3-4 inch groups but I have not experienced this. T/C does replace barrels
with-out much fuss.

I would tend to think the No. 1 would have the edge on accurace but I have seen some VERY small groups shot with the Encore and it's easier to get a custom barrel for. MGM and OTT both make really great barrels for the Encore and all it takes to change one is ermoving the hinge pin. Better get one of each and see which shoots better for you.
