Very pretty.

In 2007 I won an on line auction for a 1999 223 #1V for $500 + $43 FFL and shipping.

If I owned a few hundred guns, that would still be my favorite to shoot.

What every they want for that #1V, pay it, and enjoy shooting that rifle.

Without seeing it I think $800 to $900 is a "good" price, and a fair offer to a private party. Dealers will want more. If the wood is well figured, and you're striving to pick one that's a rare #1, it's probably worth more.

If you just especially like the cartridge, then the #1 allows flexibility in bullets/seating lengths, which is a plus.

YMMV smile

Life is short. If you want it, buy it.
