Hi fellas,
Can you get me started on setting up a couple traps for bobcat.
We have a few cats on our property. They cross the creek at a bridge, under the bridge when the creek is frozen.
Appreciate any tips you can share.
Live baited live trap under the bridge is where I'd start.....
Place a #2 coil spring leghold trap on the 4 corners of the bridge using a blind set with Bobcat urine as scent and deer meat (or what ever you have) buried in the back corner of the trap. Attach the trap to a 6-8 ft drag with a lot of limbs to snag on brush. Never stake a trap down for Bobcats. Drags work best. It's been a while, but I caught 18 using this set in 1980-81.

Thank you sir!
Coil spring trap on the trail or travel route.
We stake out bobcat traps every year, no issues at all.
Cubbie sets work well too.
Hang some feathers or a wing above the sets.

Deer meat may not be legal in your state, not legal here for bait.
If you know they’re using the bridge area, I’d carpet bomb the area with snares and blind sets plus probably throw a few cubbies in as well.
Is there any sort of a defined trail that they use? Get any tight spots covered in traps, if so.

Cats don’t mind tight places, but I try to keep cubbies somewhat open anyhow. Less is more in a general sense. Use whatever bait you have though I have found bird carcasses work well, if legal for you to do so.

It is for both those and lynx, but probably more targeted towards wolverines. You’re good...
It was the best pic I had handy and my sets for them and cats are identical in their setup.
Wolverine country certainty has fewer lynx, but I have found that the lynx up in that higher country are generally the bigger toms.
