Local river is very low right now, so thought it was a good time to let our kids have fun seeing what they could find:





They had a good time and I didn't have any fish to clean when they were done!

And THAT is summer!

Good times. Me and mine went out playing with a seine net yesterday, more for a unit study project than anything. Got some neat water beetles, some tiny sunfish, and some freshwater shrimp. Very instructional, and also no fish to clean.

Makes for a fun day with kids, doesn't it?!

Great way to get outdoors

But, be careful! A guy over in France did that and he wound up going in Seine.
