Went again in Lubbock, TX. Had low fog that made it hard to locate birds until they were right on top of us. Birds had trouble seeing our dekes but we did get several small groups to commit and got a bunch of good shots. Ended up with 13 Canada's amongst the 4 of us. Late season birds getting finicky.

Had a hungry coyote come in before we really started our hunt thinking he would make an easy meal out of one of our dekes. Buddy took him out with a load of BB shot. Overall a fun hunt.

Looks like a good time. We've had coyotes come in and take geese that were not retrieved immediately. I suspect they've learned to look for lost birds around the better locations.

Oh it's a coyote. All the coyotes I've seen this year were mangey. I thought perhaps your retriever was worn out. LOL.
