Nephew hunts down that way.Mostly redheads and pintails with lots of competion for hunting spots.Don't know about the area guides.

We run my airboat down there, generally in January due to deer season.

RE competition for hunting spots, we get out early, and have really never had much of an issue, if spot 1 is already taken we have fall backs.

Weather is a big factor on success, as has been big spreads... I can tell when we are too lazy to put out 12 dozen dekes, it seems to make a big difference.

Redheads and pintails is right. Can find other birds at times, cottontops are around, but you have to have good flight days and look over a lot of birds to take your limits consistently. And its required evening hunts at times to fill out for us. But fishing or resting is usually good during the day.
