Hello,
I have had the same RWS 36 .177 for over 20 yrs. After not shooting it for years, I shot it the other day. Pellet didn't leave the breech. Figured out the breech seal was flat. Replaced it and was back in the game. I don't know if it had just been too long or unfairly high expectations, but it doesn't shoot as hard as it did when I got it. What kind of muzzle velocity should I expect with 7.9gr. and 10.6gr. pellets? Is the Vortek seal kit what I need? How is it an improvement over O.E.M. seal?

I've owned a couple of m-34's in .22 cal they shot about 650fps with 14.3gr pellets. I'd say if your in the 800fps range that would be about right for a 1000fps rated rifle.
