Someone should gather up all the books that contain ghey, trans, racist ideology and remove and burn them.

A school board in Ontario, not a national level censorship just a local one. Still evil.

Too funny a Canadian sniveling about keeping LGBTQ porn out of the hands of children and calling it evil.

Monkeymaster;
Morning sir, I hope that the 3rd Sunday in September finds you all well and with less smoky skies than we're having presently.

Since I'm out here in rural BC and can only speculate on what the motives of the folks culling books 37 hours drive east of me, we'll begin with that foundational thought - this is me speculating.

Even when what some of us Canucks refer to as "the Laurentian Elite" who could be you all's equivalent of whatever you'd call your "Rich Men North of Richmond" entrenched power broker types, anyways when whomever all decided to put a part time bouncer, ski instructor, failed school teacher into the slot of Liberal Party leader, it wasn't because he was a Mensa candidate or business mogul/magnate.

He, that is to say Shiny Pony, is a textbook example of "an empty suit" politician. Ironically that textbook is likely being pulled out of the library, but I digress...

We could chat over a couple cups of coffee over whether they're a cult or not, for sure the true believer types fit most definitions seemingly, but again as a very far distant outside observer, I'm guessing some of those power brokers are true believers and some are just plain old in love with the power.

As a lifelong student of history, both Canadian and yours in the US because up to 150 years back and arguably even up to 100 years back it was reasonably inseparable, I'd say the logical foundation for understanding how we got here is to study those who came before us and understand what they thought and believed - warts and all. If we cannot comprehend what motivated them, how can we understand what they built or why.

Any society removes their own foundation at their peril, that's historical fact - again in my view.

Anyways that's just the view from a little old guy sitting in a smoky valley, ready to head over and do some work on our kids' place.

All the best to you all down there and good luck on your hunts.

Dwayne
