Hey All,

Here are a few pics of a buck I just finished up with. My good friend shot this buck last year on the first day of the season in Alberta. Cool unicorn point and a weird non-typical side with a really nice typical side.

Super short hair, velvet was just barely starting to strip. He was a bit challenging to work with at times, but turned out great. This was my first pedestal mount, first velvet buck, and first major repair on a short-haired cape as he had some issues in caping it out. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the end result. Sitting on a nice black walnut base that I think matches quite nicely.

Rackmaster, that looks really good!! If I ever get another deer I feel is worthy of mounting I'd like it to look that good!

Haha yep it is! He's a replica buck that I did for practice but up close you could hardly tell its a replica. I'd love to have one that big for myself!!
Sweet buck for sure!! CONGRATS!!
Well done. Love the skin folds on the neck. I'm having my first pedestal done with the one I took this year.
I really like pedestal mounts, the one I had done a few years ago is awesome.
