Do you have inside pets? Where do they sleep at night? We have wall to wall dog beds in our bedroom.
Our Jack Russell, Bullet, used to sleep between my wife and I in bed. 20 pound cover stealer. Had to have him put down last Friday, so he's asleep forever, now.
Sorry to hear that Keith, what happened?
I'm a dog lover. Cats, the rare one.
We have an Australian Shepard, that is the farm dog, but is moving inside more all the time, and a spoiled Sheltie that sleeps wherever he likes, but he prefers barking, and eating to sleep.
Then there is the little terrier that someone must have dumped off, he has a plastic tank converted to a doghouse bedded with straw. Sort of an igloo.
Our 40# mutt, Twiggy, sleeps on her doggie bed, which is on the floor beside our bed.

Two dogs have dog beds in the living room. The cat sleeps on top of the dryer in the mud room, when hes not out
I have a 20 lb. Treeing Feist that prefers to sleep between my knees. Makes for a good warmer when it is cold and my knees are aching.
I have a malinois that sleeps with us, 65 pounds of energetic dog
My Pug sleeps on the bed, for a small dog he sure can stretch out though.
German Shepard beside the bed, a siamese beside me, and a 22 pounder that has dreams of being a dog guards the door when the shepard's off duty!!
Pets are in the house, or you can't pet them.
Yukon, our bull mastif/husky cross female(115 lbs) on the bed. When she stirs, she wakes us.
All of mine sleep on their side.
Right now, there are two rat terriers, a pit mix, and my 4yr old asleep on the couch. The 4yr old will soon be toted off to her bed. The dogs would happily go with her if I'd let them. They generally have to settle for the couch.
German Shorthaired Pointer sleeps in her crate, the Mini dachshund sleeps on the bed and the cat sleeps any damn place she chooses.
No dogs on the couch here, but they do get up on the bed. Can't fit the couch in the washing machine.
Our lab had to be put down last fall. We are awaiting a Pudelpointer pup sometime this summer.
Our mini dachshund sleeps under the covers on our bed. Our white cat and gray cat both sleep on our bed...one by my head and one by my feet. Our tortie shell cat sleeps on top of my dresser [and my "cuddle duds"]. Typically, our coy-dog sleeps on my recliner and Mark's bird dog sleeps on our loveseat.
The cat sleeps outside or somewhere indoors, who knows where.
The dog, a dachshund, started out sleeping in a kennel carrier in our room but now sleeps on the bed.
My hounds are just like the rest of the Riff-Raff that shows up around here after dark--they will crawl up on any empty bed they can find.
Ain't no spoiled pets here at the campfire are there.......LOL

Spoiling our 4-legged friends is half the fun
My three sleep on thier queen sized bed......sometimes they leave room for me n the wife.
If it is a quiet night, on top of the bed. If there is heavy wind and thunder, sandwiched between the pillows.

Oh ...how true. Our tiny "wiener" dog will be burrowed under the covers and if we happen to forget and touch the covers above him, he will give a little growl. Funny stuff. They all have their favorite spots, routines and unique personalities....kind of like little people.
Cats, about 3am one sleeps between my legs and one at the foot of the bed. Another sometimes will sleep between the wife and I. They all start out in their beds around the house."My" chair is popular when I'm not in it.

What a cutie! We had some thunder yesterday and our red border collie/coyote mix did her typical panting, pacing, shaking, and then she was clinging to me. She is terrified of fireworks and thunder. We need to find a far away place without fireworks on the 4th of July!
My golden retriever won't sleep on my bed. He'll get on the bed for belly scratches before we go to sleep but when the scratchin' is done he gets off the bed and sleeps on his bed at the foot of my bed.
If it's warm at night he sleeps in the bathtub.
He sleeps on his side or on his back with his feet splayed in the air.
I've got a strange dog.
Kennel in the kitchen. They share the same kennel.
Our Border Collie sleeps zipped into her portable kennel which is set up permanently in our room ... or on the bed when we neglect to zip her in. Snoozing places during the day include the couch, love seat, under the coffee table, or curled up by my chair at the computer desk.
