I know Thanksgiving isn't a Canadian holiday, but Happy Thanksgiving to you anyway, thanks for all the times when you fought side by side with us, thanks for Hank Snow, Anne Marruy, Teri Clark, Ian Tyson.
Well, Canada does observe Thanksgiving... It's in October. And although I am from the States, I lived in British Columbia for a brief period of time (2 years) and was able to celebrate both Canadian and US Thanksgiving Holidays.

And thus it doesn't collide with Christmas, so we get a bit of a breather before The Next Great Seasonal Onslaught. Plus, although it's a less massive celebration (turkeys are quietly slaughtered without the ceremony of a Prime Ministerial reprieve, for example) people who want to travel are unlikely to be grounded by the weather. Something else to be grateful for!
