We had the antler measuring event at our local Wildlife Federation chapter on Sunday, very few to measure this year, and size was way down. this was the best of the bunch taken by our local hunters. An interesting rack, big but with a poor B&C score.

That's a cool buck. I'd love to be at one of those events when SK has had consecutive mild winters.

Fingers crossed that mother nature cooperates in the coming years.

That buck's head would look good on my wall, but I hope the herd get bigger, and fatter.

Our horn measuring party is on the 14th. In my circle of friends we've mostly come up with 140s and 150s, one lonely 160 plus. Some didn't pull a trigger, and some barely saw any deer. Son got his best ever by a small amount on net and somewhat larger on gross.

I'd love to hunt SK and hopefully once the kids are out of college I'll be able to. There is a group of local guys where I'm from that hunt there every year, but I haven't heard what they done this year. It doesn't sound promising.
