Thought I'd see what the bullet drop will be before deciding if I should work up a load.
Caliber: 358 Norma mag
Bullet: Hornady 250 gr spire or Barnes 250 "X"
Powder: IMR 4350 or 4831
Velocity: 2700 or better

With a 200 yd Zero, what kind of drop can I expect at 300, 400 and 500 yds.
My rifle range is at 5000' elev. and only goes to 400 yds.
If you need more info - let me know
Nevermind, I found a website that will do the calculations.
CBB tell me a bit about you 358NM!! do you use Norma brass or are
you using 300 Win Mag.What action is used, what barrel. How does it come back at you, is it sharp or more of a push? I am think of having my 300NM bored for the 358NM thus the questions.
Thanks for your time Cheers NC
It's a great cartridge but basically dead. A 9.3x62, 9.3x64 or the new SAKO 9.3x66 are at least alive and well with a better BIG game bullet selection than a 35.
Depending what your 300NM is, you might want to leave it alone for its value (like a Schultz & Larsen 65DL) and buy a new CZ in 9.3x62.
It will look like this with the 250 Hornady at 2700 fps.
