I'm thinking somewhere around 50gr...not sure, would appreciate some data...
Quickload list the 8x57 at 35,000 psi for a max pressure because of some of the early rifles chambered for it.
The 50 grain load predicts 45,845 for pressure and 2478 for velocity with a 22 inch barrel.
Thank you, that's great!!!(loading to CIP 56,560PSI for the 8x57 not SAAMI 35,000PSI) No sense in neutering a good mauser action with a brand new barrel...at how many grains does it predict at 50,000?(if you don't mind).
No problem. At 53.1 grains it is 50,040 psi and 2621 fps.
