Tom, do you have a wire haired fox currently? I have never been around a working dog of the breed but would like to see one. I have a rough coated JRT from working lines and have been amazed by the natural hunting abilities. Good luck in your search .

Oz-Don't have one now. I would like to breed a neat little crossbred female I have now. She needs a little more grit and I like rough coat the pups would have.
I've had JRs and enjoyed them a lot, but I guess at this point I'm after a dog with a little less drive and a lot more desire to please me.
Had a Patterdale female I really liked, she would lay around and sleep in my shop all day- but if you showed her a caged coon, she would tear the wire off! The ones I've had since have been too hard/brainless to suit me.
Perfect dogs and perfect people are hard to find!
