I want to bring along a neck knife or some sort of knife to carry while in these three countries. Any suggestions of what will keep me out of trouble?
I travel a lot in Europe and I agree with Ready's post above.
I'd avoid a neck knife (far too "Rambo"), and stick to something like a simple Swiss Army knife (and even then, avoid models with a locking blade or a big blade).
I'd further suggest a model with a corkscrew. Wine-drinking Europeans are likely to accept your knife if you "carry it for the corkscrew"
You want a model like the one above that downplays the "weapon" aspect and emphasizes the "useful pocket tool" aspect.
