I have a 257 Roberts R.M.E.F rifle. I believe its from 2012 or 13, with the box and paperwork. It appears to be have shot very little and I have maybe shot it 20 times maybe.
I have had it since 2014 or 15 and purchased it helping out a gentleman who had cancer.
Im thinking about thinning the heard and have 3 other 257 Rob in the safe. I am trying to find a value and didn’t see any on Gunbroker. Any idea of a fair asking price?
Thanks

Something about an RMEF rifle in 257 Rbts. seems incongruous, so you probably won't see RMEF boosters snapping it up. It will probably bring $1500, maybe a bit more.

I guess in less you were Bob Milek.😁
But I do see the R.M.E.F not adding much to any value. Thanks for your help.

If I recall correctly, this is a featherweight, and the only identifying RMEF part is the pistol grip cap - which can easily be replaced. I don’t see it helping you, but I don’t see it hurting you too much either. I agree with grouse chaser that you are probably in the 14 to 16 range.

I'd like to see some pictures of it. Sounds like a great rifle.

Yeah, but Browning owns Winchester.. And Browning gave us that sweet MOA trigger which, for true M70 fans, is a 25-30% detriment to value.. smile

Sure. But “true” m70 fans don’t represent the greater market. So that 25-30% detriment to value isn’t reflected in actual sale prices.

I will dig it out. Wish I could retrofit a classic trigger.
I have one laying around just in case

While I like and use the old trigger often, the new one needs a 5 buck spring and is really darned good. You got a good rifle.

If you ever want to trade it for a left nut I would be your Huckleberry. That is one of the few rifles I regret selling 20-25 years ago.

Like I told RedDog, I don't usually seek Remington's, but the 725 I like quite alot. That 280 shoots man. I couldn't believe how well that old rifle did without much fuss.
