The Al Biesen M70 rifle stock shape is what I want for a project rifle in the works and could use some assistance from friends here on the campfire. The project is a custom pre-64 build on a H&H length action. I have a blank that I am going to have run through a replicator but the shop needs a finished example to pattern after.

To that end I understand that the Echols legend, and possibly several other synthetic stocks used the same Al Biesen pattern for M70s? Does anyone have a list of the various makers who utilized the same pattern? Better yet, does anyone have a stock they would be willing to loan out for pattern replication?

Thanks!

There's may be some Biesen influence in D'Arcy Echols' stock design but his stocks are very distinct from Biesen's design. The closest design that was on the commercial market was the Pacific Research (Later Borden) Rimrock stock which was a close rendition of the Biesen-Cloward stock design. But those are long out of production and scarce in the current market.
