LOVE IT!!! I have a 43 in 218 Bee. 43s to me are like Rem 722s, clean looking, no frills, and they just have a simple beauty about them. Plus they come in the COOLEST calibers ever. Rich

I also like 43s a lot. Never saw any real need for all the bells and whistles now put on rifles: checkering, pistol grip caps, forend tips. Why not just put the labor and money into decent, plain wood and all-metal parts? Like a 43, a Rem 722, a Savage 23 or 40?

Recently got a M43 in 218 Bee from my uncle's estate; he died about 1983 and my aunt finally decided to sell it. He was pretty much a no frills sort of a guy, as was his rifle. He lost the rear sight elevator along the way; replaced it with a folded piece of cardboard. "Little brother" killed his first deer with it in 1954 outside Llano, TX.
