Stopped at a few shops on my way up north and found a Winchester 75 sporter. It was a little rough but what a dandy of a gun. Had the peep sight setup on it with some kind of target front. Just can't get this gun out of my mind.

They had an early 52 and an old Winchester 70 varmint in 243 also

While I have had a M75 Sporting for a long time I always favored the M61 for hunting. The action on the M75 is not all that robust and smooth.

For target I use the 40X and the M52.

The M52's are in another class above those little actions. The Brno 455's action is thicker than the M75 however the bolt is not smoother than a M75.

Found another 75 sporting. Few dings on the stock and the blueing is good. Lyman rear peep sight. What kind of price should I be looking at?

I just looked at two M75's in Cabelas and the target was priced very high. You would have to call them to find out. I don't want to post my guess.

The M75 Sporting there is about $1,200.00! That's high but they are collector items.

I have a CZ 455 and the rifle is very accurate however the action is not all that smooth.

The Kimber (must be Kimber of Oregon ?) looked well made. I have not handled one of those.

Hey Savage_99 you're ringing my dinner bell. I collect 75 Sporters and 61's. Both fantastic rifles. If you want to turn loose of that 75 Sporter let me know.

I bought a 75 Sporter about forty years ago; sank all of $65 in it. I'd set it aside for my grandson, but what he really wants is my Swedish Mauser. Go figure! At least it's not a black rifle.

Like the 61 WMRs and grooved 63s the 75 Sporters have soared in value...doesn't matter if they're bad guns there's a race to own them....

I love it....makes the originals with condition that much more valuable...

The targets also. There was a auction up north I was going to go to but spent time shooting and walking in the woods. One of the guns was a very nice 75 target and I am very curios to see how coin it fetched.

I'm going to act like I didn't see this model 75 thread. My story: I was at a table at one of the antique firearms/collector gunshows in the PNW and I ran across one of the nicest Deluxe sporter wt 75's I've ever seen. The guy told me he would take $575.00 cash for it and in walks a guy with an old (1937 deluxe) model 71. My friend taps me on the shoulder and tells me to check out the 71. I had been looking for a 71 at a decent price for a while (long while). Earlier that day I found 100 pieces of 1x fired 348 win brass so I figured it was my destiny to buy the 71 instead. I still regret not having enough money to buy the 75 that day. Oh I forgot to mention, I also bought a very nice std wt pre 64 model 70 (I later sold to raybass) earlier that day at that yard sale. Moral of the story. I NEVER HAVE ENOUGH MONEY!!!!!

Been kicking myself in the azz for 8 months, but the thought of getting such a good deal on the other 2 makes it feel better

I got it from a pawn shop 2-15-2014 Win 75 sporting 1941 22LR $550

I looked at the Kimber 82 today in Cableas and worked the bolt.

It has a smoother bolt that my M75 sporter or the CZ 455.

However the price is about $995! It has a nice stock with some checkering and a well done checkered steel butt plate. That rifle is made in Clackamas, Or.

The Winchester M75 Sporting is still there at $1,200 and it's stock is plain.

That M75 above for $550 is the best deal.

I'm a fan of the Model 75, have a 1941 Target and a 1949 Sporting, both rifles are quite accurate,the target with a vintage scope is a tack driver.
